Saddle Fitting

A key area to consider for your horse is your saddle. Your saddle is one of the best investments you can make for your Friesian and riding advancement.

Poorly fitted saddles can lead to back problems, pain, performance issues, and behavior challenges.

The first thing your expert trainer will evaluate in any horse they work with is how well your saddle/tack fits and supports what you do with your horse.

Today there are quality saddles we can recommend if you haven't purchased one yet, or we can suggest saddle fitting options for your current saddle to align with your horse's measurements.

It is good to get your saddle checked periodically since your horse will change as their fitness improves. And saddles need to be reflocked when the wool gets compressed, we can help direct you to the right resources to understand how frequently your saddle may need that based on use.

Remember that undesirable behavior should always first be investigated by seeing if your horse is in pain or uncomfortable. Sometimes they are just trying to tell you something hurts or doesn't fit.

We use Custom Saddles for competition, pleasure riding, and training. We especially like the Custom Advantage, and the Custom Revolution.
